EC Oil (H/C) – Plant Based Active Ingredient, Eucalyptus Citriodora Oil Hydrated, Cyclized (EC Oil (H/C))
Eucalyptus Citriodora oil hydrated, cyclized (EC oil (H/C)) is obtained from the Lemonen eucalyptus tree (Corymbiacitriodora).
The active ingredient gives off a special smell when applied, which makes insects disinterested in people. Active ingredient Eucalyptus Citriodora oil hydrated, cyclized (EC oil (H/C)) according to Biocidal Product Regulation BPR Regulation (EU) No 528/2012
HERA® and FULLTEC® hereby provide evidence that, in the context of indirect defence against vector-borne infectious diseases – in this case by successfully repelling and keeping away various mosquito species – following laboratory and field tests according to EPA and WHO guidelines, by means of the representative formulation already evaluated by authorities with 20% Euclayptuscitriodora oil hydrated, cyclized (EC oil (H/C)) (CAS #: 1245629-80-4), formerly known as PMDRBO (mixture of cis- and trans-pmenthan-3.8-diol; CAS #: 42822-86-6; FT1247) was able to achieve a sufficient effect over 6 hours with a protection level of > 95% in the field test (transferable to Central Europe, the northern Mediterranean, as well as the tropical/sub-tropical zone). The protection level refers to the following 3 mosquito species:
- Aedes (yellow fever mosquito, Asian tiger mosquito) – a predominantly day & dawn active genus
- Anopheles – (malaria or Anopheles mosquito) – a nocturnal genus
- Culex (common house mosquito, gnat, midge) – a nocturnal genus
